I
feel super excited as I wind up this week. This issue of sensitivity stirred many souls and brought forth some really interesting perspective. When some
felt that it is natural to feel touched when there is so much happening in the
world. Unless we share the pain, we are not
humans. Some comments made me think about the kind of stuff
we are busy with which digresses us from feeling passionate about the world as a whole. Who has the time or
the energy to involve in what is wrong with the world?

My research on
sensitivity often took me to the concept of HSPs or highly sensitive person coined
by Elaine N Aron in her book Highly Sensitive person- How to thrive when the
world overwhelms you. I felt that it is not just a personality type, it is
bigger than that. It a sociological make. That is what my blog are we
oversensitive aimed at proving. We are a sum of our experience and our
sensitivity is a part of it.

My aim here was
to create a link between pedagogy and sensitivity. The educational institution
and the education system as a whole should be trained to create open-minded
individuals who are capable of asking questions.

I
have tried to establish the role of authority as a decisive factor in affecting
sensitivities. Insensitive leaders lead to insensitive followers. Plus it is important that one realizes the
origination of biases and affects one may have from it.

This blog was all about where does insensitiveness
come from, does it come from not caring, or is it side effect of too much work
or the ostrich effect one might say. I realized it was a bit of everything a
personal reason, an environmental reason and obviously a psychological one. That
is what this blog has tried to ascertain.

As I connecting
dots for this week on sensitivity I realized that if it weren’t for existing
sensitivity in the world, I will not have found support or would not have been able to heal. Despite
the sensitivity crisis, I think it is a wonderful world.

Insensitivity,
another name for prejudice and bias. Hold yourself accountable, because it is
time we do so. A father with daughters needs to think hard before bashing women empowerment, what you sow you shall reap. Sow wisely. Think
about the future that you want for your children.

beautifully written. LOVED every blog. keep writing
