Purpose helps you push yourself when nothing
else does. It is funny how uncanny its resemblance
is to passion. For me, the difference between passion is that it is intrinsic
and purpose is extrinsic. Bear with me on this. Taking a cue from my previous
blog, I have forever believed that purpose is for something outside of you, a change
that you manifest as a spark, inside you. Passion on the other hand is that
sparks, in fact, it does not just spark is a raging fire.
One needs passion to accomplish patience.
Yesterday while talking to people about my writing, I was grateful on two
counts. I have been out of full-time work for 5 years. I have been occupied but
it is only in the past 9 weeks I started sharing it world about it, making
people a part of my journey.
A purpose requires a larger movement and to facilitate that one needs to reach out to people. That helped me connect with a lot of my acquaintances not just from my previous circles but also helped me
meet some new people. It helped me get some self-confidence, and a lot of time to learn and correct oneself.
The journey through filled with a variety of
emotional upheaval is one filled with learning and joy. As a social being, we need
to share it with the people around us. So how does connection help in the achievement
of purpose? The most important role of a
connection is to listen, be a sounding board. Often during the pursuit of a
purpose, one needs to have support, to criticize, to connect, and just be
there in times of need.
.
Purpose helps us to create an impact larger
than ourselves. It is selfless and yet incredibly satisfying because it takes
the community together. In the following blogs over the week, we will study about other impacts/ indicators of
purpose as well.
