Self Awareness & Branding

I was attending a training session day before and the trainer was talking about us not being marketers but the need to learn marketing as entrepreneurs which got me thinking about the role of branding and the relation it had with self-awareness. Self-awareness provides an insight into our branding the more we know about our selves the better we get at projecting our strengths as brands. 

So how does this work? Let us try and see the flow




When we are aware of ourselves, we know our strengths and limitations and can work with them or around them. Yes, I said around them. I remember having one of the coaching conversations with a senior manager, in our organization. If you are not getting through to the situation, you will have to find a way around the situation. Basically, maximise your strengths and work around your weakness.

Once we know that, we can manage our emotions and our expectation better and hence in our journey somewhere end up developing an image that aligns with what we have wanted to be all our lives. It is not instantaneous but a thorough thought out process which is transformative in nature in existence. 

The idea of what we wish we were like seems distant but self-awareness is the first step to it.
